A visit from a princess...

We were outside enjoying the fall weather, when we saw Snow White walking on the sidewalk! At first all the little girls were in shock. Then they could not believe their eyes. Of coarse we had to get a few pics.

Snow White gave the girls a signed picture. Annisten was not sure about Snow White at the time. After Snow White left, she kept talking about her. "Mom, I have never met Snow White before." Oh and guess what princess dress do you thing she was wore all night? Why Snow White of coarse! What a fun surprise!!

A Freeze Over

A few nights ago Corey and I came home and our house was really hot inside. It was almost 80 inside. The air conditioner was obviously not working. I went downstairs to look at the furnace to see what I could see. I noticed that all the pipes were iced over.  I could not get a hold of my Dad. Corey was talking to one of our friends, Ben. He told us to turn everything off and turn on the fan to let everything defrost.

I finally was able to get a hold of my Dad, he knew just what the problem was with the furnace. He came to the conclusion that I was using the wrong filters. About a month ago, I had switched to a more expensive, thicker filter that only needs to be changed every 90 days. It turns out it was too thick and was preventing airflow into the furnace. So I switched from a $20 filter back to the $3 filter packs. So far, so good; everything is working fine. If I would have kept using the thicker filter, the furnace would have burnt out.

So before calling a repairman, you might try taking a look at the filter you are using.

Unfinished Projects

I have a really bad habit of starting a project and not finishing it. The main reason is I get stuck or am unsure how to go about finishing them. Along with my fall cleaning out the house, I have decided to be a finisher. So I am tackling projects one by one.

This summer I started a project with my friends Susan and Kate. Well lets say I never finished it. So this week I finished the project. It turns out that it was really not that hard to finish. The kids actually really liked them and even wore the shirts to school. So I am on to the next project- until I get stuck again. ;)

First bike crash

Annisten is crazy over her bike she got for her birthday. The other day she had her first dramatic crash. I turned around to watch Peyton zoom down the hill on his scooter and the next thing I know, Annisten is crying. She had a banged up elbow, but other than that looked OK. Problem was solved with a hug and a Hello Kitty band-aid. When we got home I was putting her helmet away. Then I found an actual crack in the helmet! I am so glad that she was wearing one!

Provo Canyon

Our family went up to Provo Canyon to enjoy the nice weather. Peyton and Annisten absolutely love going to Bridal Veil Falls. They could spend all day playing in the water and throwing rocks. I tried to get a few pics, but neither one of them would hold still for me to snap a shot.

First Day of Preschool!

On Wednesday Annisten had her first day of preschool.

Annisten was more than ready to go to school all by herself without Peyton, Mommy, or Daddy. She pick out her cloths, shoes, and even requested princess hair (wavy hair). Annisten was so excited that she was bouncing and spinning in circles with excitement. At school she did not even have time for goodbyes.  After school she was excited to see us. She told us that Miss Mikki gave her candy. Annisten also said that Miss Mikki doesn't like it when you talk loud in her class. Of coarse she said that it wasn't her, but I am a little suspicious. :)

First Day of School!

Today was Peyton's first day of Kindergarden! The event was roller coast full of mixed emotions for everyone. We are so proud of our "little big man" and cannot believe that he his 5! Peyton was jumping up and down about how excited he was for the first day of school and then the next minute would be really unsure.

Before school the teacher had them all line up. You could see the mixed emotions. Peyton claimed that it was just the sun in his eyes. All in all, he was a very brave man.  We had a hard time leaving him at the school. Neither one of realized how tough it was going to be for us.

Annisten on the other hand was mad that she did not get to go to kindergarden. She tried several times to sneak in the line with the rest of the kids. Annisten kept telling us that she was five and going to kindergarden too.

We have enjoyed every moment with you. We love you Peyton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I have no idea why this is pink. It was suppose to be blue. Oh well)

Peyton came running to us after school. We asked him a million questions. The only thing we got out of him was that he was in the purple group and not the red group. He told us his teacher would not let him switch, so he doesn't like her very much. Peyton also told us he met a new friend in his group, who is really nice. " But he has three eyes" Peyton said.

A New Niece

Meet Lucy Jane

Lucy surprised everyone by being a bit early.  She weighed 8 lbs. 12 oz and 20 inches long! Lucy has the cutest chubby checks which make her eyes disappear at times. Oh and she is practically sleeping through the night (a 6 hour block and a 4 hour block)! What would that be like, seriously?

We had a crazy storm come through our town with tons of wind and rain. The weatherman said the amount of rainfall in 5 min. actually set a record! After the craziness of it all, we were excited to see not only one, but two rainbows in our backyard! Peyton and Annisten loved the double rainbow. We stared at it for a long time. Then we had to check every few minutes to make sure the rainbows were still there in the sky. The picture does not really capture the beauty. My camera really did not pick them both up. I hope you did not miss the double rainbow.

Happy Birthday Petyon and Annisten!!!
