The night before St. Patrick's Day, the kids and I made traps in hopes of catching a leprechaun. Once again the little man out-smarted us. He turned the M & M's we left for him in the trap green. Our other trap he only left the wrappers of the gold candy. The leprechaun turned our milk green and left a messy train of green foot prints. There were green and shinny things strung all around his path too. What a mess!
Peyton was disappointed at not catching the leprechaun, but excited about all of the mess. We had to look at the traps and talk about how to make better ones for next year. Annisten was really mad. All day (and all week actually) she talked about the mean crazy guy and that he turned her milk green. Annisten told me over and over that she did not like that guy one bit! She even told me with a really mad face "I hate that guy!" I don't think I have ever heard her say hate before.
Our day started with green food and ended with green food. I think the green eggs were the worst. Its not that they tasted bad, but it is hard to get past the look of the eggs. The kids loved it though.
