Virginia Beach

Corey's family lives about 4 hours from us in Virginia. They came to visit for the weekend. Corey found an amazing deal on Priceline. We ended up staying in Virginia Beach with an ocean view room. We had a great time playing in the sun at the beach or at the pool.

The  weather was crazy hot. No amount of sunscreen, ice cream, and playing in the ocean could relieve us from the hot sun. We took a brake from the sun at then headed back out for more fun.

One of the favorite seafood places in Virgina Beach is Captain George's . The kids love this place because the lights change color and so does some of the drinks. Most people come for the crab legs.

Yummy Cupcakes

When Corey and I took the kids to Bucsh Gardens, we bought these cupcakes for the kids. They did not look to hard to make. So when my nieces came to visit, I made them. Only I baked them in ice cream cone cups for an easier grip. They were a huge hit.

4-D with Elmo and Friends

At Busch Gardens, there is a 4-D movie that the kids are crazy over. They don't just love the red glasses either. The show is a hit because water sprays, bubbles fall, little critters tickle your feet, seats move, and air puffs at you. It is so fun to watch them when one of the movie surprises get them.

Flowers

There was a knock at my door and delivery man was standing there with flowers for me. I thought he had the wrong apartment. Corey sent me these flowers; What a sweet honey! I had never had a bouquet of all green and white, so beautiful. These flowers have lasted 3 1/2 weeks too!
Baby it's Hot Out!
Lately it has been so hot. Every day it is is in the upper 90 or in the 100's with high humidity. There is not much you can do outside with that kind of weather. We tried the park and within 15 min. the kids were ready to go. So we have spent a lot of time at the pool to get out our wiggles and cooling off. Even at the pool the payment is so hot, it feels like your feet are burning. Water shoes are a must.
