Kansas City Missouri Temple Open House
Our family went to the Kansas City, Missouri Temple open house. We cannot express our excitement at having a temple within 30 minutes of our home! The temple is beautiful and has an olive tree theme through out the entire temple. Peyton and Annisten were so excited to go see the temple that day. Every one we talked to they would tell them all about the temple and that they were going to go inside. The spirit was so strong at the temple. Going through the temple with our family was a wonderful experiance. Corey and I were overwhelmed with tears of joy to be in the temple with our family. Words cannot express the joy we feel in our hearts to be so blessed.
St. Louis
Sometimes a little get away is needed. So last weekend last minute we packed up and took a little trip to St. Louis. Corey's brother and his family came a long too. We originally thought about going to the zoo. The weather decided this one for us. It was pouring so hard outside that the zoo was just not an option. So we went to the City Museum instead. Everyone was so cranky about having to go to a stuffy museum.
we were all starving, tired of being in the car, and were mad at the rain. Once inside and fed, every one soon realized that this is one of the coolest museums ever! If you have not been, it is definatly worth the trip.
Everyone had such a great time. The kids did not want to leave.
The next day we went to Six Flags. The weather was suppose to be bad but not until the late afternoon. Outside looked gloomy and we debated if we should go our not to the amusement park. Apprantly most people thought it was going to storm. When we got there it was like a ghost town. There were no lines and we were able to finish the entire park by 3:00! What a great day for six flags. Nice weather (I hate standing in lines in hot weather. It makes me so cranky.) and no people.
We finished on the trip with a vista to the Arch. When we were at the top you could feel the arch sway. The kids were afraid to go, but enjoyed it once they experienced it.
