Smokey Mountains here we come!
Corey took his flex day and a much needed mini getaway. We met Papa Dean and Nana Nancy at a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The drive up to the cabin was a one lane steep road. The kids thought we were on a roller coaster.
We had a great time walking around Gatlinburg and checking our the sights. We at at the Old Mill restaurant, which was amazing! The chicken and dumplings are to die for.
Ober Gatlinburg
We took a cable car ride up into the mountains. once on top there were a ton of fun activities. Peyton went on his first water slide. His face was priceless has he was coming down the slide. Once the ride was over, Peyton was ready to go again. The kids had a great time.
Annisten tested her limits as well. She has to do everything Peyton does. Slow and steady. She went all the way across by herself.
We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain for a better view.
The view was breath taking!
One one of our scenic drives through the Smokey Mountains, we stopped to enjoy the beauty.
There was wading and splashing through the icy spring water, throwing rocks, and tree climbing.
What a great weekend getaway. We love the Smokey Mountains and can't wait to take another trip there!
