When we come home from visiting with our family over Christmas, we are always welcomed back with a ton of snow. We love the beautiful snow, but when you don't stay on top of it- well its a lot of work. Ask anyone who lives in our neighborhood. This year we were lucky. While we were gone have such great neighbors who cleared the snow in our driveway.

We still had two problems to fix outside. One the NOEL sign was still up, but
buried in snow; only the top of the letters show. It might have to stay there until spring. I am worried that if I try and get it out of the now, it will break.
Second, snowplows rarely come through our neighborhood. When they do, I am not sure that they actually help. The snowplow barely removes one lane of snow. Huge piles of snow cover the end of the driveway. Corey and I spent 3 hours breaking up the snow and and then
shoveling it away. Half the time we were working to clear away the snow in the street. This may sound crazy but if not you get blocked in by the snowplows' mess your car cannot get out. The snow turns to ice, you might as well forget getting in and out of the driveway.

Uuggh!! I Know!! We have the same problem. I was cursing the snow by the end of last week. I'm so glad the sun is shining again. I think it's beautiful, but like you said, it's a lot of work! And such a wet, muddy mess.
