Peyton has a habit of wanting to sleep with us at night. Every night between 1:00 and 3:00 am in the morning he finds his way into our bed. I try to but him back in his bed, but Corey always makes me feel guilty. "He is so little... they are only little once..." He goes on and on with his little lines of guilt. Then I give in and wake up to Peyton laying on top of me with his cheek pressed to mine or his arms and legs draped over me. I love our little boy and spending time with him. I like cuddling with him too, but there has to be a line.
So this past couple of weeks, we have been trying to keep him in his own bed. He gives me these puppy dog eyes and asks to sleep with us every night. Every night we talk about being a big boy and sleeping in his own room with Anni. I have even tried telling him Annisten needs him to be in the room so she does not get scarred.
Each night I wake up to Peyton a sleep at our door! Sometimes he even brings his pillow. He usually mumbles he is cold or says momma in his sleep. So sad!

I have had this problem with my 4-year old for a LONG time. I've noticed that if I am super tired and just fall back asleep after she comes in, then it happens the next night and next, etc. But, if I just make myself wake up and take her back to her bed, she usually stops coming in and we are just fine. I even usually let her lie down with us for a few minutes before I take her back, but as long as I take her back, it works. Kids are so funny. Keep it up. He can't sleep with you forever! Shame on you, Corey, for making her feel bad! :) I've notice that my little girl always go over to her dad's side of the bed when she comes in, even though my side is closer to the door. I guess Dad's are the softees!
